Zach Pulley Memorial March Madness Tournament
In honor of our friend, Zach
As most of you know, we lost our great friend Zach Pulley way too soon. He was full of life and had a huge heart for people, especially his family and friends. He was a huge supporter of Square Fairways, and was our very first Member, even before we opened for business.
He loved golf and loved playing with his buddies (and strangers too), and he also loved going to golf tournaments and events.
So, in honor of Zach, we want all Members to join us in the first annual Zach Pulley Memorial March Madness Tournament!
PULLEY BRACKET
This bracket is made up of most of our Members who want to compete and have fun in this tournament that honors Zach. The matchups are determined by random name draw and whoever wins the match survives and advances, hopefully to the Final Four and even Championship Match.
ZACH ATTACK BRACKET
This bracket is a pre-determined group of Members who have shown, by their scores & perfomance in past tournaments, to be some of our best golfers at Square Fairways. So, they will compete separately in their own bracket and for different prizes.
Match Play Format
UNDERSTANDING MATCH PLAY GOLF
This will be our first Match Play event at Square Fairways and we want to explain the format for those who have never competed in Match Play (1 v 1) and may have only seen it played by the pros at the Ryder Cup or President’s Cup.
Match play brings a unique level of intensity and drama to golf. Since it’s a direct battle against an opponent rather than the course itself, players often feel an extra layer of pressure because the strategy is much different compared to the standard Stroke Play.
